Take Off
Limited Edition prints available from £70 - please see print shop for more details.
50cm x 70cm canvas
This is ‘Take Off’ a portrayal of a scene I captured on my drone one crisp day in October down at Watergate Bay, near Newquay. Infamous for its wave breaks, surfers and wave enthusiasts flock from all around to visit this special place.
I could not believe I had caught the moment a surfer caught a wave, I was probably as excited about getting the shot as he was getting the wave! I knew instantly that I wanted to paint that moment, so here he is, taking off on his wave.
I have used sea salt and sand in the acrylic paint to build the depth in the breaking wave and fine poska pen to add the fine detail in the white water.
If you are interested in a zoom or video call to do a virtual viewing of an original piece, please contact Gemma.
Please allow up to 7 working days for delivery.
